Pulse87.7 Splash Bash contest rules

This page serves as the official rules for the "Pulse87.7 Splash Bash" contest ("Contest") sponsored by Hudson Valley Nightlife, Inc. ("Sponsor"). By participating, participants agree to be bound by the rules and decisions of the Sponsor and to release, discharge and hold harmless the Sponsor, Hudson Valley Nightlife, Inc., its affiliates, officers, employees and agents from any liability, claims, losses and damages arising out of or relating to their participation in this contest/game.

Eligibility

No purchase necessary to enter or win. Open to legal residents of the 50 United States and District of Columbia who are at least twenty-one (21) years of age or older as of the date of entry into Contest. Void in Puerto Rico and where prohibited. Other eligibility restrictions are described below.

Prize description

Two complimentary general admission tickets to the "Splash Bash" event hosted by Pulse 87.7 on June 21, 2009 in New York, NY ("Prize"). Prize is awarded 'as is' with no warranty or guarantee, either expressed or implied by the Sponsor. No substitute, cash equivalent or transfer of prizes permitted by winner. Sponsor reserves the right to substitute the prize with one of comparable or greater value at its sole discretion. All winners are solely responsible for any and all taxes and/or fees, and all such additional costs that may be incurred. All other costs, expenses and fees associated with the prize, acceptance and use not specified herein as being provided herein, including but not limited to, all federal, state and local taxes, transportation and all other costs, are the sole responsibility of the winner.

How to enter

Entry into the Contest is permitted via any of the following methods:

Register for an account on the HudsonValleyNightlife.com web site and provide your legal name, birth date, gender, email address, and zip code. Limit one entry per person or email address.
Send an SMS text message to 313131 with the words "HVNL SPLASH". Limit one entry per day per telephone number.

Contest is open from May 29, 2009 12:00:00 Eastern Time through June 14, 2009 23:59:59 Eastern Time ("Entry Period"). Sponsor is not responsible for incorrect, misdirected, incomplete, or untimely entries. Entrants authorize Sponsor to use their name, city and state of residence, voice and likeness in programming or promotional material in perpetuity, worldwide, without further compensation. All entries submitted become the property of the Sponsor and will not be acknowledged or returned.

Odds of winning

The odds of winning Prize depend upon the number of entrants who participate in the promotion at the close of the Entry Period. As the number or entrants will vary, so will the chances of winning.

Choosing the winners

Four entrants will be randomly selected on June 15, 2009 from all valid entries submitted during the Entry Period.

Notification of winners

The winning entrants will be contacted via email and/or phone. Failure to respond within 24 hours shall mean that the winner forfeits Prize and an alternate winner will be chosen.

Awarding prizes

Each prize winner must supply Sponsor with his/her legal name and current mailing address. In the case of any prize valued at $600 or greater, the winner must also supply their social security number.

Prohibited entries

Sponsor reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to disqualify any individual who tampers with or otherwise seeks to undermine the entry process. Management, employees, affiliates, and families of Sponsor are prohibited from winning any prizes awarded by HudsonValleyNightlife.com.
